Information about womans bowling shoes from top manufacturers other than Dexter.
Besides Dexter there are other manufacturers of womans bowling shoes and it would be very remiss of me not to include them here on my site. Brunswick and Etonic are just two of these other major players.
Brunswick - Cindy
The Cindy bowling shoe from Brunswick is probably the one shoe that has been specifically targeted at the lady bowler market. Just looking at the shoe, with its white base color and the pink flower design pattern and you can see what I mean.
These shoes are considered to be entry-level, and designed for the social bowler. Although they do not have all the high-tech "whistles and bells" that the high-end Dexter shoes have they are still great shoes to bowl in. If you are looking for a basic set of bowling shoes then these are a great choice, and with an average price of around US$ 50 they are very affordable.
Regina from Philly says - "I love these shoes. They are true to size and very comfortable. I was afraid they'd be too bright in design but they are not, they are very cute shoes."
Crystal says - "The shoes are a little more pointed so to speak than they appear in the picture but overall great, cute bowling shoes. I would recommend these shoes."
So, as you can see the lady bowlers love them.
They are available in the one color option of pink/white/blue, and the sizes range from size 5 to size 11.
Brunswick - Cleo
The Cleo is another ultra-comfortable and supportive bowling shoe from Brunswick. As with the Cindy, these shoes are intended for the social bowler. They are priced accordingly at around US$ 50, so very affordable.
Available in both left and right handed options, they are fabric lined with a padded tongue and collar for extra comfort. The slide sole is made from micro fibre.
As with most bowling shoes they are only available in the one color option of white/light blue. The pastel color palette is very subtle and they look great.
The full range of sizes from size 5 to size 11.
Etonic - Tiedye
Very nice and comfortable pair of womans shoes from Etonic. The color scheme however is not one of my own personal preferences, but I am sure they will appeal to a lot of ladies. Bright, bold and gregarious color scheme in white/ fuscia pink/tiedye.
Priced at an average US$ 50 they are intended for the social lady bowler, and they range in size from 6 to 11.
Brunswick - Bridget
The Bridget from Brunswick is a shoe that I like very much. It has a very simple and understated black and white color design that I find very attractive. They are super comfortable as well.
They feature an EVA mid sole for wonderful cushioned support, and the upper section is very soft and durable. Also have a slightly raised heel and micro fibre slide soles on both of the shoes.
Available in full range of sizes from 5 to 11.
Well priced too, at an average of US$ 50, these are an excellent option for any social lady bowler.
Brunswick - Iris
Of all the womans bowling shoes available from Brunswick this particular shoe is probably my favorite. I absolutely love the look of these shoes, with their shiny metallic blue trim. The slip-on design (no laces) also makes it very easy for elderly lady bowlers to put these shoes on, and take them off.
They are fully fabric lined, and have the same soft and durable upper section featured on all of the brunswick range. The raised heel, and micro fibre soles make them very comfortable and easy to play in.
They are priced a few dollars higher at approximately US$ 55, but if you shop around you can get them for less. The extra few dollars is well worth it in my own personal opinion. There is a full range of sizes available from 5 to 11.
Etonic - Kitty Wide Width
If you have slightly wider feet then you know that you can sometimes battle to find yourself a comfortable pair of bowling shoes. Look no further than the Kitty Wide Width shoes from Etonic. They look very stylish, with a very subtle powder blue trim on a white base.
Etonic have incorporated their "perfect slide" technology into these shoes, so they are very easy to play in. They are manufactured with a soft, synthetic upper section and elastic tongue straps that ensure a very snug and comfortable fit.
catstail, a league bowler from Maine, says - "While I have a wide foot, these shoes filled all my expectations for comfort. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend."
Although I do have to mention that Etonic have recently discontinued making his particular shoe, there are still plenty of them available on the market (priced around the US$ 30 area). They are definitely an excellent option if you battle to find wider size womans bowling shoes.
