By far my personal favorite brand is Dexter. Women bowling shoes is something that they have built their entire business on. Their latest SST range of performance shoes are probably the best available on the market today.

They offer 3 different products in the SST range.

1) Dexter SST (B900-19)

At a recommended retail price of US$ 98.95 these are the entry level in the SST range. Although, don't let the lower price point deter you from the fact that these are still very high-tech bowling shoes.

They are manufactured using a stitch-down construction, with a wonderfully soft, and durable, micro fibre inner lining made from suede. Additionally they provide a removable footbed, and a very supportive EVA midsole for perfect stability.

Available in both left and right handed versions, the only color options unfortunately are white/white. If we were to come up with any criticism of this particular bowling shoe, it is that it does not have the fashionable look that some other women's bowling shoes have.

All standard sizes available from 5M to 11M.

2) Dexter SST 8 SE (B927-1)

A shoe built for the much more serious lady bowler. This is the mid-level offering in the Dexter SST range, with a recommended retail price of US$ 149.95.

It has all the features of the SST, with the wonderful added feature of removable soles and heels. If you have not seen this before, it is a groundbreaking new innovation from Dexter. It allows you to interchange the heels and soles of the shoes to match the lane conditions on which you are bowling.

They come in a single color option, black and gold, which I really prefer to the standard boring white options in some other shoes. They are also available in sizes from 6M to 11M.

3) Dexter SST 8 LE (B999-9)

This is the top of the Dexter SST 8 range. At a recommended retail price of US$ 200.95 they will probably only appeal to the most serious of lady bowlers. But, considering the technology built in to these shoes, you know you are buying something that will last you a very long time and will help you to bowl a better game.

Manufactured with a soft leather upper, and a stitch-down construction for ultra-comfort and durability. They incorporate the same rubber heel and sole replacement technology as the SST 8 SE, as well as a leather toe-drag protector that stops the heels from peeling back when sliding.

They are supplied standard with 3 different heels, and 6 different soles. So you can match the shoes to any lane conditions you will ever encounter.

The only color option unfortunately is black/silver/white, but I personally think the design looks very clean and trendy.

Standard size options from 5 to 11, in both M and W.

Although the range of different soles and heels are usually supplied together with the shoes when you buy them, you can purchase them separately. Great news if you use 1 or 2 of them regularly and wear them out. The heels usually sell for about US$ 11.95 each, and the soles are usually about US$ 14.95 each.

In summary - the Dexter SST 8 range of ladies bowling shoes are probably the most high tech women bowling shoes available anywhere today. As I have mentioned elsewhere on this site, don't let the price put you off. You want a shoe that is both comfortable and durable, and that will assist you in bowling to the best of your abilities. These shoes definitely provide everything you will ever need.
